Owns and directs the execution of Division 20, 30, 40, and 50 projects, and is responsible for delivering sold contracts through completion according to contract terms. Owns all contract communication and decisions, making the best choices while considering every department of the organization as well as the customer. Works directly and collaborates regularly with the Safety Director, Sales Team, Design/Engineering, MTO, Crew Management Team, Purchasing, Truss Plant, Dispatcher, Field Crew Foreman, other project managers, and respective customers to drive safety, project performance, customer satisfaction, and purchase agreement commitments. Must manage and facilitate the schedule board by ensuring that sold projects convert into ready work and produced revenues. Schedule six to ten crews consisting of up to six men each, to ensure completion of building projects in accordance with the contract documents’ terms.
Take ownership of project: PLANNING, ORGANIZATION, SCHEDULING
Engage with Sales Team in pre-sale planning as needed, then effectively take handoff from Sales.
Review & understand contract documents to set up a successful project plan.
Lead team of PSCs, Design, MTO, and Crews to meet job cost, production, cash management, and customer satisfaction goals.
Drive pre-job meetings, giving and taking assignments to eliminate scope gaps, reduce waste, and ensure crews are properly scheduled, the right materials and right equipment are at the jobsite to maximize safety and productivity.
Drive enhanced safety and crew performance through Pre-Construction Meetings that execute the project plan and establishes accountability of the job.
Ensure that the sold backlog is effectively converted from sold projects to produced revenue.
Leverage technology that is provided and required (such as but not limited to Microsoft Office, Traverse Custom, Customer Relationship Manager Systems – CRM, etc…)

Must provide proactive, effective, professional and courteous customer communication throughout the duration of the project.
Be assertive and pro-active in communicating with customer about the plan, next actions, timing, and status updates for a successful project execution and completion.
Coordinate construction dates and details with the customer. Interact with the customer to get details of concerns they have with construction or performance of their building, THEN FOLLOW UP on action to ensure excellent customer service.
Effectively communicate with the team about contract deadlines for each phase, clarification of contract details, change orders, and project execution.
Hold customer, PSC, and team accountable for keeping project on schedule.

Be attentive to the customer and ensure that they are valued and protected through each step of their building project.
Must be the stop gap against slippage…set up customer, crew, and project for superior project performance through excellent planning, effective communication, and coordination of crews, equipment, design, and material phasing.
Drive proper equipment utilization by understanding the site conditions, building details, and material phasing.
Manage material flow by minimizing the number of trips, understanding jobsite staging, and effectively communicating with MTO, Yard, and Drivers to ensure all material is delivered on time.
Schedule and coordinate crew manpower to maximize efficiencies and meet deadlines.
Must be able to connect the dots…consider & understand how each decision affects every party involved in the project (including by not limited to: Customer/PSC/Design/MTO/Dispatch/Crew) and own each project.
Must make the final call on all decisions made post sale while seeking out opinions and suggestions with humility from subject matter experts within the team.
Team with Crew Manager to assist crews with questions concerning building construction; working as liaison between Crew Foremen and MTO/Design.
Ensure successful completion of all projects on schedule, within the quality requirements. A completed project includes: all punch list items, clean up, return of FBi material, and final payment received.
Capture daily feedback from crews on improving jobsite safety, productivity, equipment, jobsite conditions, customer concerns via predefined forms, checklists, and pre-call plan processes.
Take ownership of project: FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Know where each project is and schedule weekly meeting with Sr. Project Manager to collaborate/validate/update the WIP report and immediately move on any action items.
Monitor and plan for over/under billing by utilizing effective terms with PSCs and collecting payments in a timely manner.
Generate and collaborate with PSC or Estimating on complex change orders to be sure all costs (material, freight, and equipment) are covered and that we maintain profitability job by job.
Drive collection of final payment at crew completion.
Take ownership of project: TO ENSURE A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ensure that all above and below ground hazards are marked and drive processes to ensure all jobsite obstacles are removed prior to mobilization.
Schedule and drive elevated project planning meetings to identify and address all safety hazards.
Facilitate & own proper equipment delivery and utilization.
Demand that all field personnel are following all safety practices.
Qualifications and Skills
High School Diploma or GED
5 years of project management experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Building Construction Management or related field
Post Frame Project Management experience
