We are currently looking for an experienced Concrete Foreman / Crew Manager
Manages and assists concrete crews / workers with the responsibility to guarantee a complete job in a safe, timely and professional manner.
Coordinating with Project Manager and Site Superintendent
Ensures that Safety practices are used every day, to ensure worker safety through use of personal protective gear and equipment safety to ensure a method of safe jobsite execution.
Ordering and scheduling of concrete and other required materials to achieve maximum daily production.
Skilled in the ability of providing direction to workers in the demolition, grading, setting forms, installing reinforcing, and placement of concrete.
Ability to meet with other project stakeholders in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and the best interests of the company.
Directs the organized placement of concrete to proper elevations.
Ability to take flat work pour from prep to completion.
Installation of forms, rebar installation, and installation of wire mesh in preparation for placing concrete and grout.
Assists in establishing grades for slopes, flatness and other predefined requirements.
Directs pours and finishes edges of a concrete slab pour.
Directs pours for foundation footings and walls
Ability to hand finish edges, pipes, drains and other obstacles in flatwork pours.
Proper installation of subgrade, reinforcing and placement of concrete using grade nails, stakes and rails per job specification.
Uses Levels: site, laser, transit etc. to set grades on flatwork.
Place and finish concrete of any type with the knowledge and expertise in using a bull float, power troweling and finish broom.
Patch and finish any type of repair work.
Ability to pull a screed board (single, two-man, vibra-screed).
Runs walk-behind Trowel Machine.
Uses soft-cut saw effectively and safely.
Performs other duties as required.
Knowledge and Skills:
No less than 10 years of industry experience.
Team player with the humility to collaborate with stakeholders.
Demonstrated willingness to learn competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: methods, techniques, materials, tools used in craft installation, maintenance, and repair; and safety practices and procedures.
Ability to track, manage and forecast labor and equipment hours.
Ability to track, manage and forecast installed material units.
Ability to communicate openly, directly and professionally.
Motivated to learn and develop additional skills.
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is desired.
The ideal candidate will be able to pass all required pre-employment screens including a background check with MVR (driving record) and drug screen. Applicants must be willing to travel to and from project site with work hours that are early morning through the afternoon, Monday through Friday (varies slightly by project and season). However, due to the nature of our clients and projects, candidates must be able to work when scheduled overtime, weekends, or off-shift hours are required.
