FBi Buildings, Inc. is a pre-engineered post-frame design, engineering, manufacturing, and self-perform construction company serving agriculture, livestock, residential storage, commercial and industrial markets. Since 1958, FBi Buildings has built more than 20,000 pre-engineered, post-frame building structures for producers, farmers, ranchers, commercial and agribusiness owners, and investors in Indiana, Illinois, and surrounding areas.
FBi Buildings, Inc. was founded in 1958 (as Farm Buildings Inc.) by Edwin A. Bahler, with the goal of offering premier, cost-effective construction of farm buildings in central Indiana. A company steeped in family values, it has transitioned to other family members and continues under the helm of the founder’s son, Ed Bahler as Chief Executive Officer.
For many years, as a faith-based organization, FBi Buildings had a separate division that specialized in building churches. In 2003, this division became known as Aspen Group. Now a separate company with offices in Chicago and Indianapolis, Aspen Group provides single-source architectural and construction solutions for churches.
In 2011, FBi Buildings launched Summit Livestock Facilities to be a pioneer in the development and construction of innovative protein-producing livestock facilities throughout the U.S. Their facilities do more than house animals—they improve animal health and production, improve operational efficiencies, solve regulatory issues, and alleviate social concerns. Their reputation for structural integrity, quality materials, and professionalism stands strong today.
Since the founding of the business, FBi Buildings has led the post-frame industry in innovation, quality and responsiveness by maintaining centralized control over the entire process from planning, design, engineering, manufacturing, sales and construction. This provides total accountability for quality and enables FBi Buildings to directly respond to their customers’ needs. The Do Right, On Time with Excellence core values of the company have allowed FBi Buildings to grow steadily throughout our history and now employ more than 300 employees who sell, consult, design, engineer and build more than 500 post-frame building projects each year.
