Our Galvalume® coated steel panels are proven to resist corrosion and rust two to four times better than G90 galvanized steel. Our Kynar® 500 paint system has industry leading gloss retention performance, and fade resistance for a “showroom new” look that lasts. And to prevent unsightly dings and dents in your siding, FBi uses a stiffer, harder steel that provides greater impact resistance than more commonly used “soft” steel.

FBi uses screws to fasten our steel panels on the entire building for maximum holding power. Screws have almost three times the holding power of nails (700 lbs vs. 250 lbs). They will not back out over time, thus preventing roof leaks. To further protect against leaks and provide greater building rigidity, FBi installs our screws in the flat of steel panels, rather than on the rib (except where panels overlap). This is a more solid connection. And our screws have stainless steel head caps that will never rust or streak.

Bottom line? Your building will stay looking like new for a long time.


Local Presence
Our 800 number rings into the main office at Remington, Indiana, but when it comes time to meet with a salesman, you'll typically work with someone local to your area. And your building will be constructed by an FBi crew that also lives near you. Our salespeople and crews are located throughout Indiana and Illinois so they can be close to our customers.

No matter how busy you are, we’re sure you aren’t looking for any more hassles! That’s why we offer a streamlined design and construction process. FBi is your single source for the pre-engineered portion of your building. Sales, design, engineering and construction is all done by FBi employees. You won’t have to deal with a disconnected dealer or a subcontracted erection crew. Using only FBi employees gives us the tightest control on quality. And if something goes wrong, there is clear accountability.


Flexibility
FBi post-frame buildings offer great flexibility. It’s easier and more cost-effective to add attractive design features (such as overhangs, steeper roof pitch, porches, etc.) to our buildings than to steel-frame buildings. Plus, since our buildings don’t require interior supporting walls, you have wide-open space inside to configure however you want. Interior build out is simpler too with a wood frame than with steel. Also, since our supporting columns are 8’ apart, you can add extra doors and windows down the road without too much trouble. Doing that in a stud wall, is much more difficult.

Energy Efficiency
Add FBi’s Energy Advantage Package, and you’ll have a tight, comfortable building with lower energy costs. We use R-19 insulation in the walls and specify R-38 in the ceiling. (Ceiling insulation can be included in the building price or you can get it direct from your local contractor). Since wood framing transfers less heat than steel framing does, the entire wall system is more efficient.

In addition, in 2007, FBi began transitioning all of our standard steel colors to energy-saving "cool metal roofing" formulations that have earned the Energy Star rating.

Service After the Sale
FBi is the only post-frame company to have a separate division of specially trained crews that exclusively do repair and renovation work - to all brands of buildings. We call this division the FBi Service Team. With FBi, service after the sale isn’t an after thought. It’s something we focus on and we have the dedicated manpower to deliver it.

A Safe Choice
FBi has one of the most rigorous, comprehensive safety programs in the industry. The keystone of our award-winning safety program is a unique fall-protection system. Its use is mandatory and it virtually eliminates the most common and serious type of construction injuries, namely falls.
