Frame Building News Crew Foreman of the Month Wright is a People Builder Sixteen years ago at the age of 19, Wright strapped on his first FBi tool belt and went to work on a field crew. For the past eight years, he has been a crew foreman. Observing Wright on one of his job sites, it readily becomes apparent why he is so successful. Quiet and reserved by nature, he has discovered how to get the very best from each of his men by fair treatment and training of basic technical skills. Wright has further enhanced his ability to lead people and better understand the importance of people building by attending a 13-week Dale Carnegie evening course. Each year at FBi Buildings in Remington, Ind., crews have the opportunity to earn a Quality Award and a Builder of Excellence Award-Gold or -Silver based on performance and excellence. These are given to crews meeting specific criteria for production, efficiency, and callbacks. During Wright’s time as a crew foreman, he has led his crew to obtain both awards many times. Wright has made working on his crew a golden opportunity for those desiring to advance their career. During his eight years as foreman, three members of his crew have been promoted to foreman of their own crew. This has created many challenges for Wright with training and rebuilding his crew, but he has always been successful in working his way back to the top. He also knows the importance of keeping his customers informed and involved in their project. His commitment to working hard for each of his customers and building the quality building they expect has resulted in many requesting his expertise on subsequent construction projects. Wright has contributed greatly to FBi Buildings by creating a great work environment, exceptional customer relations, and a quality of work that sets the standard for others in the industry.
